Hello world…

I am passionate about:

Experiential Design

Engineering

Music Technology

Music/Audio Production

Generative Fine Art

I'm Blotten, a multimedia artist, designer, and engineer hailing from Dallas, Texas. My creative work revolves around integrating innovative analogue and digital alternative processes, while also delving into personal explorations of modern social and physical divisions, hypocrisy, and misunderstandings. I discovered my passion for experimental, multimedia creative processes, utilizing a high resolution flatbed scanner and transforming my bathroom into a darkroom as integral parts of my creative journey. Alongside my conceptual design projects, I've had the privilege of spending three summers as an engineer and photographer for the National Geographic Boiling River Project, documenting and gathering data in the mesmerizing landscapes of the Peruvian Amazon. In 2019, I was honored as a YoungArts finalist and a US Presidential Scholar in the Arts, which led to exhibiting my work at the prestigious Kennedy Performing Arts Center and visiting The White House to receive the US Presidential Scholars Medallion. Additionally, I've been granted two patents and recognized as a finalist in the International World Cup of Innovations at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. I completed by Bachelors in Science at the University of Colorado Boulder where I majored in Creative Technology and Design as a part of the Engineering Honors Program. Currently, I'm pursuing a Master of Science in Music Technology at The Georgia Institute of Technology as a part of Dr. Henrik von Coler's Lab researching the intersection "of sound, space and Human-Computer Interaction."
